Special Events

Let's all go to Vacation Bible School! A week of fun-filled, faith-based activities for children ages 3-9 begins on Monday, July 30 and runs through Thursday, August 2 from 9 am to noon. The fun happens at St. Mary's Episcopal Church; children of all faiths are invited to attend. 

This year’s theme is “Rolling River Rampage: Experience the Ride of a Lifetime with God!” Fee is $25 per child; $35/family. Registration forms are available in the vestibule of OLIsle, at any of the churches or download here. Please return by Monday, July 30. Please make checks payable to Our Lady of the Isle. The annual Summer Mission with Fr. Chris Cleary, C.P. begins on Saturday,  July 28 when Fr. Chris will speak at 5 pm Mass. The theme for the Mission is "The Influence of God's Word in One's Life." The Mission continues on Sunday, July 29 with an evening presentation at 7 pm; Monday, July 30 at 9 am and 7 pm and on Tuesday, July 31, also at 9 am and 7 pm. There will be five opportunities for Confession. Please plan to attend some or all of the sessions. For a complete schedule and topics, click here.

Faith-to-Faith Book Discussion Club: This informal group gathers at 7 pm on the second Monday of the month to discuss books with a variety of spiritual content, ranging from women of the Old Testament to Mother Teresa and subjects in between. Members decide what book to read for the following month. The book group is on hiatus for the month of August. 

Fellowship: Join us downstairs at the Parish Hall on the first Sunday of each month, following the 9:30 am Mass. Meet and greet fellow parishioners and enjoy refreshments.  Everyone is welcome.

Sunday movies: Faith-based movies will be shown on the last Sunday of the month after 9:30 am Mass in the Parish Hall. Refreshments will be served.

Non-Eucharistic visits: We are happy to visit you if you’re homebound or would like a social visit. Call Angela Corbett or the Parish Office at 749-0001 to arrange a visit.

Ladies Guild at Cormaria in Sag Harbor: Members meet on the first Wednesday of the month, for an evening of quiet solitude to explore their experience of God in their lives. The evening begins with dinner and is followed by a prayer service and time for reflection. Reservations are required at least a week in advance. The guild will meet again in October.

Adult Faith Formation

Lenten Faith Formation Meetings for Parents: Led by Fr. Peter downstairs in the Parish Hall  during the seasons of Lent and Advent. This program is an opportunity for parents/adults to develop and deepen their faith with other parents/adults. Parents of students receiving sacraments this year are encouraged to attend. Eucharistic Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and Benediction: Enjoy peaceful contemplation with our Lord in the church on the first Sunday of every month at 3:00 pm. Stay as long as you like. Benediction takes place at 3:55 pm.

RCIA -Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults: Baptism, First Confession, First Holy Communion, Confirmation. To discuss and invite people who might be interested to complete their Christian Initiation with the Sacrament of Confirmation.
