Ongoing and Special Events:

Adult Faith Formation:

Lenten Faith Formation Meetings for Parents: Led by Fr. Peter downstairs in the Parish Hall  during the season of Lent. This program is an opportunity for parents/adults to develop and deepen their faith with other parents/adults. Parents of students receiving sacraments this year are encouraged to attend. Contact Ginny Gibbs for info.

Adult Faith Formation Lenten Scripture Study: Each session will concentrate on the Scripture readings for the upcoming Sunday. The theme this year is "The Hour of Jesus."  Sessions are on Wednesday,  March  21 at 6 pm, prior to the Stations of the Cross at 7 pm.   Contact Mary-Faith Westervelt for more information.


Stations of the Cross: Every Wednesday through March 28, inclusive. Various parish ministries, guilds, organizations, Councils and groups are welcome to assemble as a group for the Stations.

Please consider attending at least one Mass during the week, in addition to Saturday or Sunday Mass during Lent.

The St. Patrick's Day Benefit for the Shelter Island Food Pantry takes place on Saturday, March 17. Enjoy a corned beef dinner with all of the fixings, prepared by Chef Fred Ogar at the Legion. Seatings are at 5 and 7 pm and take-out is available. Call the Legion at 749-1180 for reservations. A donation of a non-perishable food item is always appreciated.

Faith-to-Faith Book Discussion Club:

This informal group gathers at 7 pm on the second Monday of the month to discuss books with a variety of spiritual content, ranging from women of the Old Testament to Mother Teresa and subjects in between. Members decide what book to read for the following month. On Monday, March 12,  members will discuss "The Shed that Fed a Million Children" by Magnus MacFarlane-Barrow. Everyone is welcome.

Fellowship: Join us downstairs at the Parish Hall on the first Sunday of each month, following the 9:30 am Mass. Meet and greet fellow parishioners and enjoy refreshments.  Everyone is welcome.

Sunday movies: Faith-based movies will be shown on the last Sunday of the month after 9:30 am Mass in the Parish Hall. Refreshments will be served.

Non-Eucharistic visits: We are happy to visit you if you’re homebound or would like a social visit. Call Angela Corbett or the Parish Office at 749-0001 to arrange a visit.

Ladies Guild at Cormaria in Sag Harbor: Members meet on the first Wednesday of the month, for an evening of quiet solitude to explore their experience of God in their lives. The evening begins with dinner and is followed by a prayer service and time for reflection. Reservations are required at least a week in advance. Call Mercedes Binder at 749-3048 or (631) 875-9800 to reserve. The next meeting is on Wednesday, April 4. Please reserve by March 30.

Eucharistic Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and Benediction: Enjoy peaceful contemplation with our Lord in the church on the first Sunday of every month at 3:00 pm. Stay as long as you like. Benediction takes place at 3:55 pm.

RCIA -Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults: Baptism, First Confession, First Holy Communion, Confirmation. To discuss and invite people who might be interested to complete their Christian Initiation with the Sacrament of Confirmation.
